Breakfast Idea Number 5 - Yoghurt and Granola.

Home- made granola served with banana yoghurt.  I had it with honey yoghurt today.  It is Christmas cranberry granola based on this BBC recipe.
I love this recipe - you can vary it every time and make new and exciting breakfast dishes.

Also, please visit this post and leave a comment to win a copy of Nigel Slater's Appetite.  This is a wonderfully inspiring book for any cook.  This giveaway is part of The Inspiration Chain which is a brilliant idea to get us all sharing our favourite cookbooks and trying something new.

  1. Another lovely breakfast idea. What a lucky family you have. I really like granola and made some this year, I have no idea why I haven't repeated the recipe yet. I really should.

  3. I am so bad for eating breakfast the most important meal of the day. I like your cranberry cake. I make something similar for Christmas - a Nigella recipe. Love the zingy flavour of the cranberries.

  5. Mangocheeks - I cannot leave the house without breakfast but, to be honest, I couldn't really miss any meal! Zingy is the perfect word for the cranberries - lovely flavour!

Brownieville Girl - I have only recently discovered granola but I love it now. Thank you - I will show my boys this when they can read. ;-)
